Itineraries

Day 1

Amritsar to Wagah Border and Local sightseeing

Arrive Amritsar, transfer to hotel and check in. Visit the Golden Temple and later visit the massacre of Jalian Wallan Bagh. Afternoon little free time to rest and evening around 3 PM drive to Wagah Border to see the Closing Ceremony, event starts exactly by 5.30 PM everyday. Border closing 'lowering of the flags' ceremony is a daily military practice that the security forces of India and Pakistan.This ceremony takes place every evening before sunset at the Wagah border, which as part of the Grand Trunk Road was the only road link between these two countries before the opening of the Aman Setu in Kashmir in 1999. The ceremony starts with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides and ends up in the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations flags, it is called the beating retreat border ceremony on the international level. One infantryman (Jawan) stands at attention on each side of the gate. As the sun sets, the iron gate at the border is opened and the flags are lowered. The flags are folded and the ceremony ends with a retreat that involves a brusque handshake between soldiers from either side. Return back to Hotel and Overnight.

Day 2

Amritsar - Local sightseeing

After Breakfast visit Golden Temple-also called as Harmandir Sahib, Jallianwala Bagh and Maharaja Ranjit Singh Summer Palace Museum situated in the heart of Ram Bagh, Amritsar. In the evening return back to the hotel for overnight stay at Amritsar Hotel.

Day 3

Amritsar to Dalhousie - Local Sightseeing

Morning leave for Dalhousie. Arrive and check in at Hotel. Proceed for local sightseeing in Dalhousie. Overnight stay at Hotel. Amritsar to Dalhousie distance 210 Kms, 6 Hours drive by road

Day 4

Dalhousie Khajjiar Dalhousie (80 Kms)

Proceed for sightseeing. Flow through a mesmerizing experience. The vast emerald green meadow of Khajjiar with its thick forested slopes of deodhars, the stupendous mountain views from Lakkar Mandi, the unparalleled beauty of Kalatope and Bakrota Round…Overnight at Khajjiar/Dalhousie.

Day 5

Dalhousie Local Sightseeing - Khajjiar Tour

After Breakfast proceed for sightseeing. Flow through a mesmerizing experience. The vast emerald green meadow of Khajjiar with its thick forested slopes of deodhars, the stupendous mountain views from Lakkar Mandi. Return back to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 6

Dalhousie to Dharamshala Local Sightseeing

Check out and drive to Mc Leodganj (Dharamsala), magnificently set to the background of the Dhauldhar mountains and the seat of his Holiness, the Dalai Lama, the leader of the Tibetans, since 1960. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening visit Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery. Overnight at hotel. Dalhousie to Dharamshala distance 120 Kms, 3-4 Hours drive by road

Day 7

Dharmshala - Local Sightseeing

Today full day excursion visiting Jawalmukhi Temple &Chintpurni Temple - these temples are one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Also visit Kangra Town. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8

Dharamshala to Chandigarh (320 Kms )

After Breakfast check out from hotel. Drive to Chandigarh. Upon arrival drop at Rly. Stn ./ Airport for onward journey.
